Automatic Bitcoin address rotation

Most other Bitcoin wallets require you to manually rotate your Bitcoin addresses, which means many people often reuse addresses, making it easy for anyone to monitor transactions.

Proton Wallet automatically rotates your address every time you receive BTC from someone using Bitcoin via Email, allowing you to protect your privacy.

Data minimization

We cannot leak or be forced to share information we do not have.

For this reason, Proton Wallet uses a hardened version of the Secure Remote Password protocol so you can securely log in without ever sharing your Proton Account password with our servers.

Similarly, Proton Wallet never stores wallet or account balances.

Swiss privacy

As a company based in Switzerland, Proton Wallet is protected by some of the world’s strongest privacy laws outside US and EU jurisdiction.

We’re prohibited from sharing the little user data we have with any foreign authorities without a court order, and under no circumstances can we decrypt the data stored with zero-access encryption by Proton Wallet.
