You can also disable sharing with one click. This prevents people from accessing your file in the future. (Your file will remain accessible to you in your Proton Drive.)

You can upload and share all files and formats from your Proton Drive account. This includes most image, video, and document file types, along with PDFs, zip folders, and more. We do not impose any size limits on your uploads, meaning you can share long video files, RAW photos, and other large files quickly, securely, and easily.

• Link sharing: Create a secure sharing link for your folder with just one click. Share this link via email, text, or your favorite messaging app.

Recipients will have access to all the contents of your shared folder, so they will be able to see any files you add and they’ll lose access to any files you remove. You also have the option to revoke access at any time with a single click, ensuring you maintain control over your shared content.

Link sharing works by providing a unique URL that anyone can use to access a file that you have stored on a server. The link remains active as long as the file is stored on the server or until you turn off link sharing. Here’s a simple explanation of how link sharing works:

You upload the file to a cloud server

• The server generates a link to the file, which you can then share with others
• The recipient clicks on the link, opening the file stored on the server
• The recipient accesses and downloads the file as needed

Email sharing works by sending an invitation to the email address of your chosen recipient to access your file or folder. You can choose whether your recipients have viewer or editor permissions.
